Aditi Mathur, MD

Dr. Mathur received her M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine, and received her postdoctoral training in Internal Medicine and in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine from Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Mathur was funded through the NIH to study research mechanisms of pulmonary fibrosis. Her work received awards from The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation and was published in Science Translational Medicine and other leading journals. Dr. Mathur was then a Pulmonary & Critical Care attending at the Mount Sinai - National Jewish Respiratory Institute where she was part of the Interstitial Lung Disease Program. She was a principal investigator and co-investigator in several clinical trials and mentored Pulmonary & Critical Care fellows. She also authored several journal articles and book chapters. Dr. Mathur won the Mount Sinai Pulmonary Attending Excellence in Teaching Award in 2019 and the Cullman Family Award for Excellence in Physician Communication in 2017 and 2021. She joined the Academic Pulmonary Practice at Hackensack University Medical Center and specializes in the care of patients with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis, Lung diseases associated with autoimmune conditions, Sarcoidosis, Organizing Pneumonia, and Cystic Lung Diseases.
