Brian L. Gerhardstein, MD


Brian Gerhardstein, M.D., Ph.D., is a neurologist with a board certification in headache medicine. He is the director of Headache Medicine at Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. In addition to an M.D. in Neurology, he holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology and Biochemistry from Northwestern University. He also is an associate professor of Neurology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
Dr. Gerhardstein offers expert diagnosis and coordinated care for all types of headaches. He constructs a personalized treatment plan based on diagnosis, evaluation, health history and other factors to meet the unique needs of each individual. Treatment may include Botox injections, infusion therapies, nutrition guidance, and lifestyle modifications. His goal is to improve the quality of life for each patient by helping them manage their symptoms and getting them back to doing the things they love.
