Catherine Anne Atkins, PHD

Catherine A. Atkins, Ph.D., is a board-eligible clinical neuropsychologist joining Jersey Shore University Medical Center where she will support the neuroscience and behavioral health programs. She has over 30 years of experience in the field of neuropsychology completing evaluations and providing treatments to patients.
Dr. Atkins completed her doctoral dissertation on Children's Memory Test (CMT) using cognitive intervention. She has a variety of clinical experience ranging from private and public companies. She completed an internship with Kessler Institute of Rehabilitation where she provided individual and group therapy, family sessions, didactic training of weekly lectures relevant to diversified rehabilitation population, and supervision for areas of expertise including neuropsychology, rehabilitation psychology and pain management.
Prior to joining HMH, Dr. Atkins has had experience as clinical supervisor and Supervisor of Psychology as an Inpatient Clinical Psychologist at NYU Langone Medical Center, Rusk Institute for Rehabilitation Medicine. Over the course of her career, Dr. Atkins has worked closely with neurologists, primary care physicians, psychiatrists, lawyers and other medical professionals in providing comprehensive care to individuals experiencing changes in cognition. Dr. Atkins is a leader and expert in neuropsychological, psychological, and cognitive assessment interventions. Dr. Atkins will be working alongside Dr. Hundal to maximize patient care and their overall quality of life.
