Erin Ashley McLean, PHD

Erin A. McLean is a board-eligible clinical psychologist who specializes in pediatric neuropsychology. A proud New Jersey native, Dr. McLean is committed to advancing the field of pediatric neuropsychology in her home state.

As a member of the Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s team, her focus is on the neuropsychological care and management of complex medical, neurodevelopmental, and cognitive challenges associated with Epilepsy, Cancer/Blood Disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion, Hydrocephalus, Central Nervous System Infection, Stroke, Craniofacial Conditions, Genetic Disorders, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Prematurity, and Cardiac Conditions.

By working collaboratively with patients, families and other providers, Dr. McLean aims to translate assessment findings into practical recommendations that help children and adolescents thrive.

Dr. McLean completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology at Dartmouth Health, a member program of the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN). She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Hofstra University and completed her predoctoral internship at Dartmouth Health. Her extensive training has included placements at NYU Langone, Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone, and Weill Cornell Medicine. This has given her in-depth experience conducting comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults with complex medical diagnoses.

Dr. McLean is a member of several professional organizations, including the International Neuropsychological Society (INS) and Society for Clinical Neuropsychology (Division 40).
