Ghasan Ahmad, M.D., is a board-certified neurologist and a board certified radiologist with additional fellowship training in Diagnostic and Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology who has recently joined the Hackensack Meridian Medical Group. Dr. Ahmad has extensive training in radiology, neurology, as well as neurovascular diseases of the brain and spine which contribute to his robust capabilities and understanding as a neurointerventionalist. Dr. Ahmad is also an active member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery (SNIS), American Academy of Neurology, American College of Radiology, American Society of Neuroradiology and other professional organizations.

Dr. Ahmad offers treatments for various brain and spine conditions using minimally invasive methods without the need for open surgeries which decreases hospital stay, promotes early recovery, and decreases complication risks related to open surgery. Additionally, as part of the Hackensack Meridian network and our exceptional neurosciences clinical team, Dr. Ahmad offers his patients and their families a full range of support services. Dr. Ahmad joins the Neuroscience Institute at Jersey Shore University Medical Center and will be working alongside Shabbar Danish, M.D., Chairman of Neurosurgery.

Yes, Dr. Ahmad is excellent and I have been very happy with his medical advice and service for a couple of years now. I recommend him highly. And the only thing is the last couple of visits I had, unfortunately, I don't think it has anything to do with this doctor at all, but just the hospital in general, they lost the results of my EEG test. And even though when I called, I've been assured and reassured more than once by different people that I've talked to that the test results were in my file and not to be concerned. When I went into his office, they weren't able to access the results. So I had to come back and I wasn't able to make an appointment for a couple of weeks. So, but the doctor

This provider was obviously interested/concerned about my situation. He is extremely sensitive,polite and lets the patient ask any questions while giving an honest and knowledgeable response. He went above and beyond to access all concerns I had and give professional advice and or opinions on all aspects of my situation. The doctor repeatedly performed different procedures as I told him my symptoms and kept taking it all in until he came up with further ideas and what to do for next treatments. He immediately had his personal schedule further tests and promptly scheduled follow up appointments. His demeanor and skill of his expertise was a relief in a scary situation which was very calming and made for a very comfortable visit.
