Jacob R. Hascalovici, M.D., Ph.D., is board-certified in Adult Neurology and Pain Medicine. He is the Division Director of Pain Neurology at the Hackensack University Medical Center Department of Neurology and Co-Director of Pain, Spine and Rehab Medicine at the Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.


Dr. Hascalovici specializes in providing personalized care to patients ages 16 and up who suffer from chronic pain, which he describes as "pain that doesn't seem to be getting better or going away." He specializes in treating spine and back pain, joint pain, osteoarthritis, pain from degenerative disc disease, herniated discs and pain resulting from neurological disorders (neuropathies). He also treats headache, facial pain and whole body pain from fibromyalgia. Dr. Hascalovici is a leader in the field of digital healthcare and digital therapeutics.


Dr. Hascalovici earned his medical degree from Technion University American Medical School in Haifa, Israel, while concurrently completing a doctorate in Neuroscience at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Computational Biology from Yeshiva University. Dr. Hascalovici completed his Adult Neurology residency and Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center.


Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Dr. Hascalovici has been quoted as a key opinion leader in a variety of digital media outlets including Forbes, Business Insider, Crunchbase, Techcrunch, Authority Magazine, Healthline and health.com among others. He has lectured at multiple national and international medical conferences and serves as a peer reviewer for multiple journals including Pain Medicine, Pain Physician, Headache, Journal of Neurochemistry and Neurochemistry International.

He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed original research articles and book chapters and is involved in multiple ongoing clinical trials in pain management. He is fluent in English, French, and Hebrew and conversational in Spanish.

Well, I guess this is the first visit for Dr. Jacob and really I like him. He's a very good experienced doctor. He knows what he's doing. The medicine that he gave me, it's very good, very helpful.
