From years of being a track and field student athlete, her interest in the respiratory system and its physiology grew, leading to a career in pediatric pulmonology. As a pediatric pulmonologist, practicing for more than a decade, she is an expert in aerodigestive diagnoses (trach/vent, medically complex children with airway clearance impairment, OSA), asthma, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD).

Philosophy of Care

I treat my patients and their families as if they were my own. I appreciate using a collaborative approach with my families in order to build a trustworthy and close relationship. I also enjoy maintaining open communication with other specialists/providers to provide the best care possible.

Dr. Ruderfer is a very good doctor. She's able to articulate in layman's terms to us in regards to our son's care. She's very professional and she listens, like really listens to what you have to say. So she's an excellent doctor. I would highly recommend her as a pulmonologist to any child that is seeking or needing pulmonology care. Thank you.
