Dr. Joseph Romanilla is one of the most professional, conscientious, courteous, compassionate doctors I have. He listens carefully. He explains things that make you understand exactly what he is saying. Any further questions, he answers them and he makes you feel as though he knows exactly how to handle you. He is an excellent doctor. My husband and I both have been going to him for many years, would never even think of finding another doctor. In fact, we asked if he planned on retiring because we need him around for at least for our lifetime. But he's an excellent doctor.

Dr. Romanella was very easy to talk to and he listened to all my concerns and questions.

It would have been much easier to make an appointment than to have to dial the number, wait for someone to answer, a direct number to the doctor's office would be preferred.

Dr. R is always great. Straight talk, no bs. This visit the nurse was also really great. I am sorry that I don't remember her name, but she was kind, respectful and genuinely pleasant.

This is my first visit with Dr. Romanella. I found him to be just fine. I certainly would recommend him and I give him a 10 on everything. I guess the only thing I was disappointed with is that he does not take my insurance, which is a UnitedHealthcare Advantage Plan. So I guess that's going to cost me, whereas before it was my previous doctor who has since retired. He was in the plan or in the network, and it was included in my policy. But anyhow, if there's some way to get Dr. Romanella to accept the Medicare Advantage from UnitedHealthcare, that would be my only request. That's it. Thank you. Bye-bye.

Dr. Romanella is one of the most caring, fantastic providers that I have gone to. He is so thorough and really, really cares about his patients. As far as the answering service for his office, it was so much better when you were able to speak to the office directly. These call centers that you have to go through and speak to, to try to make an appointment or to get a message to the office is ridiculous. I had to wait months and months and months for my physical with him. There's no personal contact anymore when you call the office. I think Hackensack should consider having calls go directly back to the doctor's offices.
