Dr. Osama Abu-hadid is a board-certified neurologist specializing in movement disorders. He is an assistant professor of Neurology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.


Dr. Abu-hadid sees adult patients at the Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute at Hackensack University Medical Center, and treats all types of movement disorders, including Parkinson disease, atypical parkinsonism, essential tremor, tardive dyskinesia, dystonia, ataxia, chorea, Huntington disease and gait impairment. He specializes in botulinum toxin therapy for dystonia and tremor as well as deep brain stimulation programming.


In addition to his clinical activities, Dr. Abu-hadid has published research on advances in dystonia medications, deep brain stimulation in Parkinson's disease and other topics.


Dr. Abu-hadid earned his medical degree at Al-Quds University in Abu-Deis, State of Palestine, and completed his internship at Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem. He then served as a postdoctoral fellow with the Palestinian Neuroscience Initiative at Al-Quds University before completing his neurology residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. Following his residency, he completed his fellowship training in movement disorders at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York.


Dr. Abu-hadid is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the International Parkinson and Movement Disorders Society, and the Jordanian Medical Association.
